Darryl Wallis,
director of pharmacy
director of pharmacy
Darryl grew up navigating complex medical needs from a young age. Frequent hospital stays, procedures and interactions with the medical profession were the norm. That experience didn’t just spark his interest in healthcare—it laid the foundation for a lifelong calling — he started working in pharmacy at 15 and never really left.
He went on to attend and graduate from the University of Toronto’s Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy program.
What keeps him here? The people. Darryl is drawn to the human side of the job—especially helping those navigating addiction and the uphill battle that comes with it. He’s seen how the right support can lead to real, lasting change, and he’s just as invested in those transformations as he is in the clinical side of care.
As Director of Pharmacy at BMC, Darryl oversees daily operations at our Sarnia and Chatham sites, leading teams that deliver judgment-free care 365 days a year. He played a key role in launching our walk-in clinic, which connects underserved patients with wound care and acute support from nurse practitioners deeply involved in the local outreach and recovery community.
Outside of work, Darryl is a devoted father to a son with similar medical history — both being fortunate recipients of multiple organ transplants — as much he is a grateful advocate for organ donor awareness. He enjoys trying any coffee he can get his hands on, has a penchant for trivia, lively debate, anything automotive, and digital photography. When Darryl isn’t doing any of the above — he can be found grooming what may be the finest moustache in all of pharmacy… easily southwest Ontario.
